Situated in a prime location in the heart of Zakopane close to the town park and away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts main thoroughfare, the Litwor is a typical example of mountain-style architecture, which houses amongst its facilities, a wooden roof swimming pool. Each bedroom comes with a balcony from which a view of the mountains is also guaranteed, as long as they remain there.

A simple but none the less functional property found very close to Zakopane’s busy Krupowki Street, the Giewont is ideal for those on a budget while not having to sacrifice location or comfort. Rooms have been renovated in recent years and are smart and tidy and though there is a perfectly acceptable restaurant on the premises, the choice of eateries on its doorstep offers excellent variety.

The largest of Zakopane’s hotels, what the Kasprowy lacks in cosiness and charm, it certainly makes up in facilities and professional service. Beautifully located on the Glubalowka slope overlooking the Tatra’s, the hotel is not slap bang in the centre of the resort, but a mile or so away that is either cheaply and easily traversed by taxi, or for the more energetic of you, a brisk walk through some very picturesque countryside.
