Many people still have an image of Warsaw as a dull concrete jungle, a wasteland of Soviet-era housing with little appeal. But there is far more to one of Europe’s most underrated cities, with a string of things to see, an impressive cultural scene and an increasingly lively nightlife. Warsaw is a real survivor – the city’s current day existence is impressive in itself. Note: Multi-centre Poland city breaks to incorporate all three cities are possible.

Le Meridien Royal Bristol Hotel

Situated on Warsaw's most fashionable street and only a few steps away from the historic Old Town quarter; stands probably the best hotel in Poland. Built at the turn of the 20th century and restored to its original splendour; the Bristol Hotel has attracted many famous guests including Picasso and Margaret Thatcher. The sumptuous Art Nouveau style sets the Bristol apart from some of the bland chain hotels in Warsaw, and you definitely get the feeling that you are getting something special by staying here.

Hotel Rialto

Discreetly located in the centre of the city and decorated in Art Deco style, Poland's first boutique ghotel opened its doors in the Spring of 2003. For a city that sorely lacks small, deluxe, characer hotels, the Rialto is a breath of fresh air that provides its guests with state-of-the-art facilities, individually de`signed rooms, authentic period furnishings and first class dining options. There is something of a renaissance for small, hip boutique hotels across Europe and this one is a timely addition.
