Auschwitz remembered
On 14 June 1940, 798 Polish political prisoners were brought to Auschwitz as the first inmates of what was later to become the Nazis most deadly instrument in their “Final Solution” for Europe’s Jewish population.
By the time the camp was liberated with the Red Army in 1945, somewhere between 1,100,000 and 1,500,000 people had perished in the labour camp and the larger death camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
The camps remain remarkably intact with many buildings still standing as a chilling testimony to the most abominable chapter of the Second World War and Fregata Travel is offering a three-night visit to Krakow which includes a visit to both camps.
Taking place throughout February and March inclusive of return flights to Krakow from Stansted, Gatwick, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester, transfers 3 nights accommodation with breakfast at the 3* hotel Atrium, City Tour and visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Price from £250/p.p.
