Day 1 • Warsaw
Departure from London Heathrow Airport and on arrival at Warsaw you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the Novotel Centrum. The whole day is yours to enjoy by relaxing or exploring the city. Meet with your guide in the lobby at 18:00, and theh head off for a welcome dinner with folklore show. D
Day 2 • Warsaw
After breakfast, you set off for your tour of Warsaw. Highlights of your half-day tour include the beautiful Old Town quarter, Old Market Square, the Barbican and the Royal Castle. Then you go for lunch before having the afternoon to yourself to explore Warsaw further. BL
Day 3 • Warsaw / Czestochowa / Auschwitz / Zakopane
After breakfasting, you depart for Zakopane, stopping en-route to see the holy picture of the Black Madonna at Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa. After lunch you keep going towards Zakopane, but first there is a visit to Auschwitz to see the infamous camp and its memorial museum. Later that afternoon you arrive in Zakopane where you will overnight at the at Hotel Mercure Kasprowy. BL
Day 4 • Zakopane / Krakow
Once you have breakfasted there is a sightseeing tour of the famous mountain resort of Zakopane, which includes a cable car ride up Mount Gubalowka to take in the fantastic views on offer. In the afternoon there is the unique experience of a raft ride down the picturesque Dunajec River Gorge in the Pieniny Moutnains before you ten drive down to Krakow for dinner. Overnight at the Novotel Bronowice. BD
Day 5 • Krakow
In the morning you take a city tour of Krakow. With its beautiful Old Town, lovely churches and impressive castle, Krakow's recognised position as Poland's cultural capital is easily understood. The afternoon sees you set off on another excursion. This time you head off to the ancient Wieliczka Salt Mines, with its superbly carved underground chapels and chambers. You then return to Krakow for dinner with a folklore show. BD
Day 6 • Krakow / Torun
After breakfast you head off on the relatively long drive via Warsaw to Torun, taking lunch on the way. for a short city tour. Overnight at the Mercure Helios in Torun. BL
Day 7 • Torun / Gdynia
After breakfast there is a sightseeing tour of Torun. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, Torun was a prominent trade centre in the Middle Ages, and birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. Then after lunch your tour heads off to the Baltioc Coast and Gdynia, where you will overnight at the Hotel Gdynia. BL
Day 8 • Gdynia / Gdansk / Sopot / Gdynia
Have breakfast and the embark on an orientation tour of the three sister cities of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot. The Old Town area of Gdansk is a masterpiece of reconstruction with its lovely burgher's houses, Town Hall, Artus' Court, Gothic Church of Our Lady, and Neptune Fountain. Continue to Oliwa cathedral for a concert on the famous pipe organ. Then lunch and plenty of time to roam or relax in the afternoon. BL
Day 9 •Gdynia / Malbork/ Olsztyn. Today we leave for the Mazurian Lake district, one of Poland's favorite vacation areas. En route stop in Malbork, famous for the massive Teutonic Knights' castle — among the best-preserved medieval structures in Central Europe. Picnic and overnight in Olsztyn at the Novotel. BL
Day 10 • Olsztyn / Warsaw. After breakfast depart for Warsaw. On the way we'll stop in Olsztynek, the site of an outdoor museum of folk architecture. In the evening there is a farewell dinner in Warsaw. BD
Day 11 - Wednesday • Warsaw/ UK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight back home. B
