14 August: Fly from London to Warsaw. Arrival transfer to the 5* Radisson Blu Hotel where you will spend your first night. The tour starts this evening with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. D
15 August: Warsaw. In the morning you will take a city tour of Warsaw incuding the Royal Castle with its beautifully restored rooms and internationally renowned works of art, and the colourful Old Town. This tour leads nicely into the specially designed 'In Chopin's Footsteps' excursion during which you will see such landmarks as the buildings where the young Chopin gave his first public concerts, where he studied, and where his family lived. After lunch at a local restaurant you wil be driven out to the newly opened Chopin Museum at the Ostrogski Palace. This evening you have tickets for the 'Chopin and his Europe' International Music Festival to see the symphonic concert performed by Bella Davidovich and the Symfonia Varsovia. BL
16 August: Warsaw / Zelazowa Wola/ Brochow / Lowitz / Lodz
After breakfast,. you are taken to Chopin's birthplace at Zelazowa Wola to visit te interiors of th emanor house before continuing on to Brochow to see the church where Chopin was baptised. For lunch you are invited to experience typical Polish hospitality at the home of a young local couple. There is then a private piano recital prior to travelling to the historic city of Lodz to overnight at the 4* Hotel Qubus. BL
17 August: Lodz / Krakow
Once breakfast has been taken there is a visit to the famous Poznanski Palace before continuing on to see one of Europe's biggest Jewish cemteries. After lunch at a local restaurant you continue to Krakow stopping en route at the magnificent gothic castle of Pieskowa Skala. Overnight in Krakow at the 4 star Hotel Swing. BL
18 August: Krakow
After breakfast you will take a city tour of Krakow which includes the Old Town, t Mary's Church and the famous Cloth Hall. Then there is lunch at a local restaurant, and the afternoon is yours to explore this beautiful city at your leisure. This evening you have tickets for the 'Music in Old Krakow' Festival. BL
19 August: Krakow / Czestochowa / Warsaw
This morning you depart for Warsaw. En route there is a stop at the famous pilgrimage site of Czestochow where you will visit Jasna Gora to see the miraculous picture of the Black Madonna, and the treasury rooms housing the impressive collection of gifts presented to the monastery over generations. After lunch at a local inn you continue on to Warsaw to overnight once more at the 5 star Radisson Blu Hotel. This evening you have tickets for the 'Chopin and his Europe' Festival when you attend the Symphonic Concert of the Academy of Ancient Music & Pawel Kotia at the National Philharmonic Hall. BL
20 August: Warsaw / London
