Day 1 - Sat • WARSAW
Arrival and transfer to the 5 star Radisson SAS Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Meet the rest of the tour group and the guide in the hotel lobby that evening and then begin your tour with a renowned local pianist performing some of Frederic Chopin's works before continuing on for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Day 2 - Sun • WARSAW
After breakfast, you set off for your tour of Warsaw. Highlights of your half-day tour include the beautiful Old Town quarter, Old Market Square, the Barbican and the Royal Castle. In the afternoon you head of to Chopin's birthplace at Zelazowa Wola to visit the interiors of the manor house and the museum. For dinner you are taken to experience true Polish hospitality as a Polish couple host dinner in their own home. BD
Day 3 - Mon• WARSAW/ CZESTOCHOWA / AUSCHWITZ/ KRAKOW
MAfter breakfast you depart Warsaw, stopping firstly for a visit to the Jasna Gora Monastery and the shrine where the sacred portrait of the Black Madonna is kept. Then after lunch you will visit the former Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz, before carrying on, via Pope Joh Paul II's birthplace at Wadowice, to overnight in Krakow at the 4 star Best Western Premier Hotel. Day 4 - Tue • KRAKOW
Once breakfast has been taken there is a city tour of Krakow which includes the fortified castle and cathedral resting atop Wawel Hill, the Old Town, St Mary's Church and the Cloth Hall. The afternoon is yours to further explore this beautiful city at your leisure. B
Day 5 - Wed • KRAKOW / ZAKOPANE
After breakfast you depart for Zakopane, and a half day tour introduces this picturesque moutain resort to you. You will see many examples of typical highland architecture including wooden churches and chapels. In the afternoon there will be time for you to shop for souvenirs of local arts and crafts. In the evening there is dinner and a folklore show at a local restaurant. Overnight at the 3 star Hotel Mercure Kasprowy. BD
Day 6 - Thu • ZAKOPANE / WIELICZKA / WARSAW
After breakfast you depart for Warsaw. En route there is a visit to the ancient Salt Mines of Wieliczka to see the unique chapels, sculptures and chambers carved from the salt over the centuries by the miners. After lunch at a local inn and dine at the 4 star Best Western Mazurkas Hotel in Warsaw. BLD
Day 7 - Fri • WARSAW
Sadly, your tour of Poland comes to an end today with breakfast and a transfer to the airport for your homeward flight. B
